Re: Training aids

Hello all, first post here. Just this past September I took up the game of golf, in part for the exercise and in part to have something common with my Father-in-law. I've been having a great time picking up the game. So far here on GTO, I've been reading and learning as much as possible.

On to the Medicus 2000: I was in a local sporting goods store to return / exchange a holiday gift and the local pro that was working there had a nice 2 hour conversation with me on the game of golf. He recommended that I being new to the game would benifit from the Medicus 5-iron (for what ever reason he told me to stay away from the driver).

I found a place on e-bay that was selling them a little cheaper than direct or from any of the online retailers.

It was delivered a few nights ago and so far I am impressed with the feedback it provides. The video is pretty good. It offers a lot of pratice techniques, as well as what a new golfer should be concentrating on for proper swing technique.

I'm interested in what more experienced golfers have to say about this swing aid as well.

Re: Training aids

Luckily for myself, I have no use for the medicus. I picked one up in the store and took 5 swings with it. It didn't break once, so why would I spend the money? I guess that's a good thing, but I still don't feel my swing is 100%.

My advice: swing before you buy!

Re: Training aids

The medicus hinge club is a great training aid. I have a few of them here at the studio.

Well worth the money!

Re: Training aids

I really like the Medicus Driver because you can hit balls with it, even with the 460cc head.

It took me a few swings as I had some obvious flaws in my golf swing I had no idea were there.

Once I got the hang of hitting balls with the Medicus Driver (after about 20 minutes), my slice had all but disappeared.

The reason the Medicus Driver is the most popular training aid on the market right now is because it is the only one that gives you instant feedback when your swing is not on plane...no other training aid offers this.

Re: Training aids

Check out this video where Taylormade Performance Lab validates whether the Medicus Dual Hinge Driver can really improve your golf swing the first time you use it.

Tap here to watch the video

Tom Fisher - Taylormade technical director was astonished when 75% of the people he saw swing the Medicus Driver changed their swing dramatically after swinging it for only 20 minutes.

Play well.

Thumbs up Re: Training aids

The best trainging aid I have seen or used is called "slice bullett" this thing comes with a dvd, it will allow you to feel exactly what is required to strike good shots. Simple concept, inexpensive instant feed back.

Check out this Medicus Golf video - Medicus Golf Swing Make or Break Pt 5: Impact Position... Tap Here To Wat...h Video

MEDICUS GOLF BREAKPOINT 5: IMPACT POSITION

As the downswing unwinds, the arms and hands should be accelerating at a faster pace than the body. This must take place in order for them to get into a position where they can move together with the body through impact...
