| bunker rules........... hey guys!!! i need your help on a dispute i had with a fellow golfer. here's the deal......my buddy hit his tee shot into to a bunker that had had casual water in it a few days ago. instead of just sand in the bunker there was sand/mud. well, he felt that he should be allowed some type of relief due to the muddy condition. can anyone help me out with the ruling on this??? thanks. |

| Re: bunker rules........... Sand/mud is not casual water so he does not get any relief. He may declare his ball unplayable and a. Play a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played (see Rule 20-5); orIf the unplayable ball is in a bunker, the player may proceed under Clause a, b or c. If he elects to proceed under Clause b or c, a ball must be dropped in the bunker. |
