Re: Winter Rules / Tees

Hi DNA,

Ours is April 1st unless there are adverse weather conditions.

We don't use plastic mats at my club we have grass tees maintained all year round just for winter so it's not a big problem when they open them.

When your on plastic you can't wait like my old club.

Ian.

Re: Winter Rules / Tees

2 points, lads

1. That will teach you to aim the shot properly Ricky!!! I see lots of players, even really good ones, taking the line of the mat as the line and missing fairways or greens. Make a point of aiming your shot properly, its a good habit to get into.

2. You can tee the ball up 2 clublengths behind the markers, that means you might not have to use the mats.....bear that in mind especially if, like my course, your winter mats are at ground level.

Awww poor baby!!!!

I wasnt picking on you Ricky (sheesh, what an Ego) I was just expanding on your comment about green keepers never aligning the mats correctly......

Just dont to the club thing in competition. I would also mention that you should take extra care when using the club at the feet method that you dont just assume that because your feet are right that your aim will be. Always check your shoulder alignment carefully as well, its just as important.
