| Just need to know if you are disqualified from an incorrect card being handed in do you lose handicap points from this card. What happened is that i played stableford on the weekend and had 45 points but the guy who marked my card put a 4/4 instead of a 5/4. So the points added up but the strokes were incorrect therefore being disqualified and angry that I didnt check the card. As i would have won the day by three points.. But from this my handicap went down 3 points. Is this right it seems a little strange that you would get a disqualified card and still lose handicap points. |

| Re: Disqualification I believe that all major handicappling authorities (USGA in US, CONGU in GB & Ireland) say that disqualified score should be counted for handicap purposes. The idea is that although you may have done something illegal that is the number of strokes you played and is a reflection of you playing ability. There are some reasons for DQ that are excluded eg Agreement to waive the rules, using illegal clubs |
