| Re: The Real Rules of Golf In an extension of #10, a friend of mine at the course said, "Anyone who's any good at any sport will never let you know it," and I love that and think it's bang on. He also (in a slightly unrelated way, but still with an obvioius grain of truth!) said, "Never trust the good-looking boxer!"

| Re: The Real Rules of Golf Many great sportsmen help others, the truly great ones do not need to tell others how great they are though, class will shine through. I always revert to the words of max Ehrmann's Desiderata:- "Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans." Mind, the prettiest boxer that ever lived was also the "Greatest" ![]()
