Scoring terms

I know what most terms are for scoring such as, a birdie, an eagle, ect.
But I don't know what an "albatross" refers too, besides a large sea bird that lives in the pacific.

thats a double eagle, like a 2 on a par 5 or a hole in one on a par 4

extremely lucky to get one of those. i do however know someone at my club who 'claims' to have had one.

ive almost had one, 3 wood shot slid by hole to 5 feet, got my 2nd eagle

the closest i have ever got to one was on the 9th hole at our course. i hit a bad drive and left it short. i had 240 to the pin and i hit a driver off of the deck and it rolled about 1ft away from the pin but ended up off the back of the green
