It's Worth Mentioning - Shawn Clement Videos

Recently, I started watching youtube a lot more - for one reason: Shawn Clement. He's a PGA instructor in Canada and focuses primarily on momentum in the golf swing. I urge those of you that are having trouble to take a look at all 61 videos and take away something, I sure have.

If this has been mentioned already, I apologize. Thanks to Cmays for putting up a link to Shawn in one of the threads (stack andt tilt one in the general forum), and thus introduced me to the swing that is giving me effortless power and accuracy.

Videos : YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

I actually stumbled across those videos too, but never really got through more than a couple.

They were pretty good, though.

Perhaps a revisit is worth it.

Re: It's Worth Mentioning - Shawn Clement Videos

I like the idea of 3skills. I am looking forward to receiving my book in the mail, but right now, this approach is working well. Now, I do believe the 3 skills will make it even better because of it's ADDED approach. Eitherway, I don't think the two ways are different at all, I think 3skills is going to help me be an all around golfer, who will be able to mix the two methods (thus striking through the ball correctly), in a constructive and beneficial manner.

Rakster,

No, it's just different. 3 Skills teaches you to strike the ball well, there are no secret ways to make proper ball contact. The only difference is the teaching method, I have said a few times now that 3 Skills teaches nothing new with regards to ball striking, the only thing different is the way it teaches you.

I have studied Shawn Clement's videos and they are very good, he knows his stuff.

Thanks Brian

I am considering buying the 3 Skills book. I would like see a few more reviews of the book though. I know people like yourself, Slats and Ian are full of praise for the method and look forward to others sharing their experiences. I will also watch the slot on Setanta Golf again. They should put that video on their website.

The book is around the price of a pack of premium golf balls, not a lot to lose(especially if it helps you to stop losing them) Personally I would pay the price of a new driver for it now as it has done more for my ball striking than a new driver.

hi rackster
i think most of the systems work if you follow what the say and do there drills, it don't matter if it Dalton McCrarys, AG Bonner or Leadbetters interactive, if you follow the instructions and give it a chance to work then your game gets better, i know as i have used all three over the years and got something out off all of them, I'm sure its the same with 3sk, if you stick to the drills and believe in what your doing then better results will happen as it has with Brian and Keith and Slater and a few others on here, is it worth the price then only you can judge that?.

Re: It's Worth Mentioning - Shawn Clement Videos

hi Brian
i agree? that what i was trying to say, the only way to find out if it works is for you is to try it and do the drills and stick with it to give it a chance to work.
i have yet to buy a video or book that has not helped me in some way,
if i did not have such a strange way of playing i would buy and try this system, but my system is working for me and on Sunday i was 12 over and thats with my bad back and only swinging at about 75% power as I'm scared my back will go again. i have no doubt that it works and works well.

Re: It's Worth Mentioning - Shawn Clement Videos

hi Brian
thanks mate, its so good to hear of so many of you hitting the ball cleaner with your new system, its amazing what hitting close to the sweet spot does and how it improves your confident so much too. more power to your elbow.
look forward to hearing more from all you that you all are improving and enjoying the game more.
i think my system (Trevino's) in some ways give me the same kind of results you seem to be getting with 3sk so i do understand how you feel when you hit the ball cleanly most of the time and most times you don't even feel as if you have hit the ball and it seems to fly right off the face with no real effort.
keep up the good work.

Re: It's Worth Mentioning - Shawn Clement Videos

hi cmays
great clip, i have always thought off the impact zone to be out near the left ankle and not at the ball and what the guy says on the clip just reinforces that to me, i like the bit about the practice swing and then focusing on the ball and the swing goes to hell.
really good informative clip.
thanks
