How Often Do you Play?

Hello,
I was just wondering how many times you guys/girls play golf per year/season? Also, have you ever taken years off, or is this a regular yearly amount. Also, when did you start playing?

i started playing just over 3 years ago and i would estimate that i play between 60-80 rounds a year

I average probably 40 rounds per year in the last 4 or 5 years. I went period of 18 to 20 years beginning at the time I started college where I only played two or three times a year. There was a few years in there that I did not play at all. It has been only the last probably 8 years where I have played a lot.

I used to only play 3 or 4 times a year when I was a young lad. I picked the game up seriously at 22 and haven't looked back!

When seasons allow I am lucky in that I am able to play/practice almost every day.

I'm currently in the middle of a 4-6 week lay-off to improve diet, fitness, strength and technique. I'll start playing again around Feb I reckon. This is the longest I've been off a golf course in 6 years!

I want to move to Spain!

When I got serious about the game I played 3 times a week and hit balls every day, hangover or not.

Now I try to play at least once a week and hit balls twice a week, but often have breaks when my health keeps me off the course.

Although I took up golf relatively late in life, I play a couple of times a week... even more if my work schedule allows it... There is something magical about golf, eh?
