Left foot lifting up when coming through impact...

Having slowed down some videos of myself, I've noticed that my left foot seems to be lifting up through impact. Can anyone suggest why that may be?

If your right handed, it is most probably a reverse pivot...you are staying back on your back foot. Try my waliking drill:

Hi Jake,

My left foot comes off the ground at impact as I come out of my squat at transition and as my left shoulder goes up and back. If it is not bothering your flight or contact, I would not worry about it.

Well this is my old swing. It has a few flaws, which i've been working on. If you pause it when i'm following through you will see what I mean. However I do manage to send the ball on it's way...

Jake,

Looking at your video it is just as Greg suggested, your weight is on the front foot in the backswing and the back foot on the downswing creating a reverse pivot. This is causing your front foot to lose grip and swivel round.

You need to learn how to keep more centered in your swing and transfer your weight correctly. Maybe a lesson or two would help you.

Yeah I agree. I've been watching this video I'm going to try this. I've been meaning to get down the driving range. I've also adopted the take away that this guy suggests.

Jake,

Shawn is a good instructor and that video should help you. Good luck!

Yeah i've been very impressed with his videos. I'm also going to get some lessons. Hopefully a combination of the two should see me cut my handicap.

Cheers.
