Golf ball drill

Has anyone heard of a drill where you hold a golf ball in your right two middle fingers on the shaft of the club(for right handers), and hit golf balls this way? I tried it and it seemed to really help my rythm and contact. I was wondering if anyone else has had success with this drill.

Re: Golf ball drill

Uhhhhh, no

Do you have a picture or something to show this? I am trying to visualize how this would work/help. What benefit does it have?

Re: Golf ball drill

I've heard of that drill and I am of the opinion that it shows that brute force is not needed in the swing even though many golfers try to muscle the ball nowadays...

Re: Golf ball drill

I have only one middle finger. If you have two then you are special. I guess you mean the index and middle finger?

Re: Golf ball drill

I think I have seen one where you hold a golf ball between your wrists when chipping or putting, if you flip then it drops out.
