Re: Natural draw - is clubface square or slightly close at impact?

The guy I take lessons from has me working on hitting to the left by closing down the club face and then wants me to start working it back to the middle. Working with my wrist. Very interesting approach for me.
I'm starting to feel the club better, more..not sure how to phrase it.

Instructors I have used also taught me to hit in-to-out to get the new feeling of hitting inside the path. A different feeling altogether having hit outside-in for a long time, but one that becomes natural after a while. Been down the range (again!) this afternoon and I am getting much better with drawing all the way down to the 4 iron, though not much draw on that club but I'm not too concerned with drawing the longer irons. I must agree that release does come into play on it's own once you have got the swing path correct. Unless you have rigid wrists or some restrictions in the forearms, stick to your natural release and keep them passive and control the draw by the swing path. You've only got one variable to play with then. I bet that if you were to straighten up your shots a little by coming in more in-line to the ball, the draw will come into effect.

I'm speaking from my own experience after only learning this from Sunday, and it's thanks to these guys on the forums.
