| My name is chessbum, and I am a flipping flipper!! Yes, I am a flipping flipper. I have tried to quit, but can't. I have tried drills, swing aids... including Greg's right hand drill and Greg Normans "Secret" you name it. I've read books including "Nail It". I have had marginal success but if I quit thinking about it, there I am flipping the wrists and blocking shots. I don't want to give up and I dream of the day when I hit the shot with a nice descending blow with a nice little divot AFTER the ball has left the clubface but the day may be coming when I admit it isn't going to happen. Any and all advice is welcome.... |

| Re: My name is chessbum, and I am a flipping flipper!! Go to your local book store. Borders"" is a good one since you can read the book there without buying it, while sipping on a beverage. Find Shawn Humphries book titled "Two Steps to A Perfect Golf Sing". Learn the two steps, and practice them. Your golf swing won't become "perfect", but these two steps will end your flipping problem, and help other areas of your golf swing. If you don't have a book store near by, go to you local library. If they don't have it, tell them order for you to check out. GJS |

| Re: My name is chessbum, and I am a flipping flipper!! Try practicing chips and pitches with a wedge to get a feel of an "iron" wrist. Don't do full shots at first... try one-fourth, one-third and half swings only... then move on to the 9 iron, 7 iron and 7 woods and later the longer clubs. Important- make sure during pitching/chipping practice, the ball has a nice lie on the ground that has a good measure of cushion grass... You can practice the hard surface lies (bad ball positions) later... Golf takes considerable time and patience for most people. I believe it is the most difficult sport in the world.
