Inside Approach

I saw the "Inside Approach" training device (Jack N. is the spokesman, evidently) touted on the Golf Channel a couple of days ago. I had never seen this thing before and I was wondering if anyone here had evaluated it, used it, or would otherwise recommend its purchase.

Good product. My coach invented it but you can make it yourself at home.
Whenever I feel like I need a tune up on my swing, I use it.

How do you make one? I saw it on TV also, and it seems worthwhile. I just can't do the $80 right now.

The inside approach can be made easily from pvc pipe, pvc connectors, and a foam piece from your hardware store. There is no sense in paying 80 bucks for something that you can make for less than 10 (and have it work just as well). Take a look at the setup of the "inside approach" next time it's on the golf channel, you should be able to discern how to build it from 3,4 pieces of PVC, a couple of joints and a foam piece. If I ever decide to build one, I'll post how to do it here.

What can also be done (for free) is place a cardboard box along the outside of your swing plane. This won't help you if you are too steep, but it does get rid of the outside-in swing.

CHEAP AND EASY

Just put your brolly on the deck and hit ball from just under the edge.
