| Address I understand that as you go up and down the clubs, you get more and less upright accordingly. My question is, how upright should I be for a 3 iron? I have barely any hip tilt or knee flex for my 3i - I'm wondering if I don't need a shorter club? |

| Re: Address Hi Ben, Basically it is the length of the club that dictates how much tilt forwards there is from our hips. The longer the club the less we need to bend forwards. I have drawn a little illustration to try and convey this (I must stress our weight does not move onto our toes when doing this). The blue line represents the shorter club (eg. 9 iron) therfore our spine angle is tilted more forward, and the green line the longer club (eg. driver) with a more upright spine angle. These angle of course are not the same for everyone as a shorter person with standard length clubs will obviously have a more upright spine angle with each club than a taller person with standard length clubs. I have the posture lesson up, which is well worth reading through in regards to attaining a good posture position.

| Re: Address Unfortunately, your diagrams indicate the problem I figured I was having. In order to have my clubs lie flat, I have to stand very, very upright (4i to 1w). Should I be looking into getting my lie adjusted so that I'm not taking a 'baseball cut'? |
