Re: New Years Resolution

Hi Ben,

I still don't understand your h/capping system over there, you play off 32, the max for men in this country is 28.

Someone with such a good knowledge of the game and swing mechanics should be playing better.

Sorry if this comes across a little rude,(not intentional) I just think you should be a lot lower.

Ian.

Re: New Years Resolution

Max here is 40.

Like I say, I have some blowup holes (and when I blowup, I blowup goooooood - double digits).

I can often par and birdie - I just can't seem to get it going in one round. And every round incorporates a double-digit hole (or 2). ESC helps, (but not enough).

Part of my problem is mental - I'm still trying shots I have no business trying (going for greens from trouble, trying to fly a thicket of trees, etc).

If it wasn't for my putter, I'm sure I'd play off 40. (I average 2 putts/hole or better).

A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.

I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.

For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.

By the end of the year I was starting to hit the way I always knew I could and my distance is farther than I ever dreamed. Now that I know all my distances again and I have the confidence I should be able to knock those last 3 points off my index and collect on the $100 bet!
I just haven't had the time required this year to put in the practice I need to get to where I want to be. I have had lot of good rounds spoiled by a couple triples and one or two doubles mixed into the pot. It's not even at the end, or the beginning, so it's not fatigue or lack of warming up, just plain stupid mistakes because of lack of practice this year, therefor I was not 100% confident in the shot I was attempting.
