| Re: Weight Transfer!? There are a few drills, but this one is the best and I used often when I teach: Weight transfer during backswing: As you swing the club back, move your left foot off the ground and move the left kneww and tuck it in against your right knee. This will transfer all your weight to the right siade and also develop very good balance and weight distribution in your right side. If you sway or "setup" during your backswing, chances are you're going to lose your balance. Weight transfer on the downswing: Your weight has now got to go from your right side to your left side. So, setup with your left foot 1 step back and swing. Now swing to the top and as you start your transition let your left foot take that step back towards the ball (where your left foot should have been). Hit through the ball with the right side and finish with almost all your weight on the left foot. You're almost hitting the ball with a step-in.
