Help! Can't even hit a slice on purpose.Hook city.

Hello everyone.As of late I cannot stop hooking the ball.I hook everything.My woods are the worst.I cant even slice on purpose its so bad.Brain is getting fried trying to figure it out.Thanks for any tips they will be greatly appreciated.Guess I will have to see a pro when the weather gets warmer.Thanks again for any info and especially your time.

Check you grip. Usually the best and first place to look. If you've gotten too strong with it, you'll do nothing but hook.

Are your hooks pull hooks, or just a plain hook?

Golf swing are easy : I think you made mistake with your grip...remember what BEN HOGAN says "Good Grip Good Swing"

No fundamental is more important than a good grip


Release Tension In The Hands : For the arms to drop while the shoulders remain coiled, everything must be relaxed. Excessive tension keeps the arms and shoulders from working independently. To stay relaxed, be aware of your grip pressure, not just at address but as you begin the downswing.
Make a conscious effort to maintain a light grip pressure as you begin the downswing.
In to outswing path :Swinging the club into the ball on an in to out path is one of golf's hardest challenges, However one of the most important. If you are able to swing the club on an in to out path at the ball you will eliminate many swing faults that can occur and you will be on your way to hitting a consistent draw in your shots.

The best way to promote this in to out action is to go to your practice ground and find a slope. Now take a load of practice balls and a 5 iron, no you need to hit the balls so that the ball is above your feet. This will promote an in to out swing path as your body is lower down than the ball. If you find that you slice the ball fairly often you might want to find a steeper slope so that the ball is further above your feet.
Once you have hit about a dozen balls you now need to try and see if you can replicate the swing sensations on flat piece of ground. Keep performing this drill until you get it right.
