Release?

Having Trouble Understanding The Release. When Im At Impact Should T Make Sure My Hands Return To Original Position At Set Up? Should I Have To Rotate Them To Get In That Position? When I Swing I Notice My Hands Are Not Back To Original Position At Set Up. Is This Leaving The Face Open? I Have Alot Of Slice Spin On My Shots.

Re: Release?

First, release is a power loss! Your address position and Impact are not the same unless you start in an Impact Position. Basically the only thing that has not changed from address to Impact is...the ball! You need to verify 6 alignments for Impact,
1. Clubface to the target line
2. Grip to the clubface
3. Hands to the ball
4. What "Plane Angle" you want
5. Where is the pressure coming from into the ball - (what are you feeling in your hands).
6. The position of the right forearm - is it inline with the shaft, above, or below it. Ideally it is inline to act as support for the driving downward and outward movement of the club.
