Every shot is a hook... My club pro has been working with me on my hooking problem. I bring the club way inside out and im working on fixing that. By doing this my club pro says im trying to flip my wrists over at impact causing a hook. Even when i do swing the club down the line, I hit a hook. My grip is weaker than it should be (both Vs are pointing somewhere around the right side of my neck). Also, my shoulders are usually open to the target and my feet are pointed right at the target. I would appreciate it of someone knew what I might be doing wrong. - David

Re: Every shot is a hook... Hi David, Check where you are are returning the club at impact: http://www.golf-tuition-online.com/v...rticle.php?a=3 If you are hooking the ball, you are closing the face at impact. Not only is it closed to the swing path, but it is also closed in relation to the target line. Keep your clubface square to the target on alignment and the clubface should alwys return there at impact. Last edited by gord962; 03-20-2005 at 02:05 AM.

Re: Every shot is a hook... Thanks, I hit about twenty balls in my basement after trying that drill and felt like I wouldn't hook it anywhere near as bad. I put impact tape on my eight iron and drive and found that I am still hitting the ball on the inside of the clubface. Can you give me any tips to help get the ball on the sweetspot and not the inside of the clubface? -David
