| Re: Putting Question Worry less about line and more about weight? |

| Re: Putting Question If you want to look deeper into putting then try letting go of all your thoughts,... walk around the putt from all sides just looking at the line and distance but not thinking about it, let the eyes do the work.........stand over the putt and hit it without any thought at all. This has really worked for me and also works for all shots. Just try it once without consciously thinking about anything, you will be amazed.. Hope this helps Ian. |

| Re: Putting Question In addition to the great advice posted above, try this drill: This ensures your eye is looking straight down the target line: With your putter in hand, set up to a ball, with another ball in your pocket. When you are ready to make your stroke, take your right hand off the putter grip. Take the golf ball from your pocket and hold the ball up to your left eye. Now, drop the ball - it should fall directly on top of the ball your putter is lined up to. If it doesn't fall on top of the ball, adjust your setup until you can. It's amazing how many more putts you will make if you are looking directly down the target line!

| Re: Putting Question Read the break backwards from hole to ball. It will turn the most as it approches the hole as the ball is slowing down.Yes weight and speed are more important than line to maintain two putts per hole, generally a putt misread on burrow will finish closer than a putt misread on weight but to one putt you have to be able to read both. I also line the brand name up to my target point and for the driver the brand name is just visible on the back of the ball at address and this is the point I focus on.
