| Hitting from an uphill lie Guys, this is my bogey shot. Whenever I'm hitting from an uphill lie (ie. left foot well above the right for a right-handed player) I tend to hit the ball fat no matter what I try to do. I think my set-up is pretty good, I try to align my body with the slope and keep my weight on the right-side at address. On the downswing, however, as I invetiably transition my weight forward into the shot the result is the clud dugging a nice hole in the grass and the ball popping forward a short distance. I was hitting the ball great today, a lovely tempo and sweet timing, but this shot probably cost me 4-5 strokes during the round. If I can get this cracked then I thing some rounds in the 70s might be on the cards. Advice is therefore highly welcomed. Thanks in advance Paul |

| Re: Hitting from an uphill lie #6 on my home course features a massive uphill approach. I often mis hit my approach, and am left with a severe uphill lie. Do everything Gord has mentioned, as well as moving the ball one more width back in your stance (as your natural inclination is to hang back), and take 1 more club - at least. |
