Swing path

Sorry if this has been posted before, I can't seem to find any drill on this. If a shot always goes straight right (it's not a banana curve, just straight to the right), that would suggest an inside-out swing path, right? What drill can be used to correct this? Thanks!

You are correct, inside out swing path with the face open to that line.

Don't work to much on correcting the swing path it may not be that which is the problem, work on the correct wrist rotation through the ball.

Nice to get a reply so quickly.. Usually I have to wait overnight because I get some replies from the members in the US It's 4pm now here in Singapore, and I guess around 10am in the morning in England?

So sorry to have to ask for more, but how would the correct rotation be like? So if the ball is flying right in a straight path, it should mean both and inside-out swing path and an open club face, right?

It's 9.00am and I get to work around 7.00am, first thing I do is check GTO, I don't start work until 9.00am.

The correct swing path is inside square back inside........coming a little to much from inside is nearly perfect because you have to come back inside (unless you let go of the club)"joke"

Try this....take your stance......take the club back to 9.00 o clock,the toe should be pointing straight up to the sky.............now take it though to 3 o clock the club should be pointing to the sky.

hit some shots going back and through like this....that is the correct rotation through the ball, then work up to a full swing.

If you are slightly inside you should hit some right to left flight shots (right handed) which is fine.

Before attempting to tinker with anything knoe this. The shot is missed before the club starts back. Check your alignment. lay a club down at your target and then lay one down that is parallel left. Be sure that your body is alinged parallel left of the target. This may very well fix your path. Also check your grip. Your grip may be too strong the V'S formed by your index finger and your thumb are pointing too far to the right. They should point in between your right shoulder and the right side of you chin. Third be sure that your shoulders are not aligned too far right of the target. This encourages an inside to outside swing path. Fourth be sure that you are not holding on to the club too tight with your fingers. On a scale of one to ten you should be holding the club at about a 5 or 6.

Thanks guys. This is actually my wife's problem. I can see that her club face is open when she hits the ball, but I am not really able to see the swing path. I am guessing since the ball goes straight right, then it would be not just the open clubface, but also an inside-out swing path right?

Will go through your advises and see if she will be able to correct that tonight. Cheers!

Hi Ian can I confirm this again with you? I'm not sure where the 9 and 3 o'clock refer to.. And toe is referring to the tip of the club, right?
