Smile Swing advice!

please could someone help me with a few problems I have with the swing.

1. Normal swing results in a straight shot with a slight fade/cut.
Why does this shot sometimes result in a push shot right when trying
to come from the inside, (in-out swing)

2. when using the big stick & 3 wood why does my swing result in a draw on a good hit unlike my irons, and i hit a fair few duck hooks????

3. And finally could you tell me the correct position my right arm should be at the top of my backswing.

Currently if i look in a mirror from behind, at the top my right albow runs parellel with my sholders, ive seen conflicting things. should it be more tucked in towards my upper torso? Ive heard of the waiter postion but if im standing with a plate of food on a tray my albow would be parellel with my sholders???????

HELP PRO'S, AND BETTER PLAYERS THAN ME!!!!!!!

Many thanks John
with all your help i'll be a good player in no time (hope)

Iron shots require a more steep attack. If your backswing is not high enough, you wuill come over the top to compensate for the shallow backswing causing you to come outside-in, creating a fade.

Fairway woods and your driver require a sweeping action, therefor, you are not trying to get steep, which is allowing you to come slightly inside-out, creating a draw.

At the top of the backswing, you should try to get to a 'waiter position' or '90-90-90' - all joints in your right arm should be bent to 90* - shoulder, elbow and wrist. Your club should be parallel to the ground as well as the target line. Your left shoulder should be over your right knee and your weight should be mainly on your right side.

Re: Swing advice!

Cheers for the reply

already working on the 90,90,90 position in the back swing using a mirror.
