That's interesting. I've noticed how the pros seem to be bending over (you see the famous reversed C) with the right shoulder really drooping and the hips really clearing the way for the right elbow. I've tried this and found that it feels much more effortless to swing through the ball. When I do this, the right elbows goes very close to the hips. Not sure if this works out for the better as I'm still trying to get the hang of it. Would be interesting to see a video of your swing

For me to be in a standing position and get my elbow anywhere near my belt requires a pretty extreme contortion. Is this golf or bullfighting?
