What do all Pro's have in common

Guys,

This is a question that I think all golfers need to ask themselves.

There are several things that every single pro, has in common regardless of how unorthodox their swings and approaches to golf may appear.

Can you tell me what they are??????????????????????????

Ian.

One thing is definitely pre-shot routine.... all pros have one that you can time to the millisecond - most amateurs don't have one at all.....

They are able to get up and down I would say at least 70% of the time from 30 yards in. Touring pros are able to get up and down to this degree from 150 and in.

I agree - outstanding short games. Getting up and down, dropping 10 foot putts with some regularity, playing their misses close to the pin, that kind of thing.

Re: What do all Pro's have in common

Swing coach, caddie and the technical resources of the big name golf equipment companies. If you think the clubs you play are the same as the pros, watch the golf channel, once in a while you can catch "what's in the bag" and see just what kind of equipment, and treatment the pros actually get. They play prototype balls (espcially TIGER), prototype clubs, and have HUGE companies at their beck and call for input on how to make products better.

Re: What do all Pro's have in common

Ok lets have a look so far............

Pre- Shot routine Have we all got a good pre shot routine that we stick too.................

100 yds and in another great thing to practice.

Up and Down How many of us practice chipping.

Yardages
Ok once we have a good repeatable swing we should know our yardages.

Putting Do we practice putting enough especially 10ft ers..........

Ok once we have all the above sorted we just need a sponser to provide everything to hit the ball with oh and a caddy...........................they were not in my origional thought but a great point all the same.

My imput would have been simply rhythm without it you can never gain a consistant swing, or game.

Re: What do all Pro's have in common

Ian, that was my first though as i started to read the thread.....t-e-m-p-0

So to add something new, they never hit a shot until they are absolutely ready to do so.

Re: What do all Pro's have in common

The only things all pros really have in common in their golf swing is that they swing from an inside path and de-loft the club by 6-8 degrees on their irons (ie their hands are forward of the clubface at impact).

The rest is pretty irrelevant.

If it took you 3 seconds to get to the top of your swing, it would take you 1 second to get to finish.
