Re: Grip down an inch on your driver Tom Wishon released the book 'The serach for the perfect golf club'. He advocates the use of a shorter driver. It results in a more controllable driver. I've tried clubs at 45", 44" and 43". Right out of the gate, the 43" club is an almost automatic fairway finder. I get a little more distance going to the 45" club, but it sprays the ball more.

Re: Grip down an inch on your driver Great avatar Mike! I'll trie this next time. I mean the driver grip. And by the way, what's your opinion about the Taylor Made R5, 8'5 degrees ? I'd like to try one out some day. Toni.

Re: Grip down an inch on your driver a lot of times people grip the driver too high up on the grip and the fat part of the palm can not push against well so you actually get less wrist cock, when you choke down an inch you have more leverage so you get more wrist cock and maybe even a nice draw
