pulling

Recently i have been pulling all of my irons and have been pull hooking my driver. I noticed that i was aiming right of the target but every time i try to fix it i just start hitting the ball worse. I also noticed that my club face was shut at the top and i have been trying to open the clubface on my back swing. im not too sure what to do or what drills to try to stop pulling the ball. i could use some help, thanks...

Re: pulling

Weaken your left-hand grip a touch. That's the first thing I'd try. No need to get overcomplicated in "fixing" what ails your swing - try the simple fixes first.

Re: pulling

First - stop messing with your grip for your irons. A pull simply indicates a square face during an inside move of your club.

The first thing I'd try is moving the ball back in your stance. I pull shots when I don't pay attention to where my ball is - and my club is coming back inside with the ball too far forward.

This assumes that your swing is pretty sound already.

Otherwise, you may be playing the ball in the right spot, but coming from the outside.

Re: pulling

I agree with ben, if you have a good grip then it is a swing problem. ball position does also have an impact of your shots.
