| I even slice 8-irons ! I generally slice Even my eight irons end up going right – my divots point 20 degrees to the left. I assume that means I have an outside-in swing path, although I’m very Careful to set up correctly (grip, square stance etc) Can anyone help ? |

| Re: I even slice 8-irons ! I used to have the same problem. Incredible slice. Here's the most important things I did to fix it: 1) Hold the club extremely lightly throughout the swing. 2) Practice turning your wrists over (right over left) while the clubhead is moving through the ball. Golf pros would probably say this is bad advice, but hey it helped me understand why a ball hooks and slices. 3) Watch your hips and make sure they do not slide right on the backswing. Turn them instead. 4) Swing in more of an "around" motion than a "back and forth" one. |
