Too much wrist action

My backswing looks ok, athough I want to get steeper. My problem now are:

1. Coming down, I was told to have a flatter club plane, meaning creating an angle on the right hip and bring the club through the inside. Is this correct? I do it but was sold to have a 7.1 degree angle from the inside on impact. Is it too much?

2. I have this problem all the time. Some told me that I have too much wrist action or too strong the wrist. At impact and after, I can see from the video that my left wrist usually collapse, like flicking the club inside to the left. I was asked try to delog the club by holding the angle of both hands. I think this is similiar to your right hand drill. I find it very difficult to do and the problem is you don't feel that your wrist is turning (too much action). If you do it intentionally, I feel my arms are very stiff and can't not finish the swing or hit all over the place. What should you do?

Thanks for the help.

1. I have no idea what angle you want for the inside. I can't believe that someone actually said, "7.1 degres" .1? They were kidding, right. I don't know anyone who talks about angles in 10ths of a degree. You do what to be comming from the inside, but it will be a natural angle if you are simply turning and rotating around your torso. Don't try to manipulate anything or worry about angles.

2. I would strongly suggest getting the trainning aid that Norman has: "The Secret".

If you are doing the right hand drill and you are still having problems, then you need the help that this aid will bring. It will physically hold your wrist in the correct position. You will absoutly hate it. You will rip it off and throw it to the ground and maybe even stomp on it. Then realize you paid good money for it, clean it off, and try again. This will continue for a littel while. But eventually you will hit shots like you have never felt before. Then you will try it without the aid, and you will sneek a little hand swat into the shot and you will feel the difference and say, "Yep, I swattd at that one." Put it back on, hit shots until you get the feeling again. Take it off, and try again.

It will take about 1000 balls (Never more the 100 per session) with the aid until you get it to the point where you won't need it anymore. You will bring it to the course, the range and hit the first couple with it on, then take it off for the rest of the day.

Or you can do this drill until you are in the same mideset. But this is much harder to do. The aid is completly restrictive. The drill allows you to cheat. You have to make the call which you need.
