| Re: Clubhead passing the hands Make it easy on yourself and get on Ebay. Hunt down one of Greg Norman's "The Secret". It is a corny looking plastic piece that straps to your right hand and helps you maintain the "angle" in your wrist. It gives you the proper feel and although, the right hand drill works, it is not near as easy to aquire the feel as with using "The Secret" Trust me, IT WORKS. Chessbum.... |

There is a slight improvement in half shots, but I`m quite good at those anyway. |

| Re: Clubhead passing the hands As for Greg`s right hand drill, I am trying to rebuild my swing this winter using this as my guide, but I can`t do it because my hands let the clubhead pass them through impact, which is why I need something else to sort this out (that`s why I bought the Greg Norman thing |

| Re: Clubhead passing the hands I thought the secret was designed to keep your right wrist cocked. You must be very strong to still be able to swat with it ![]() On a more serious note, could it be that you are not rotating your hips/body sufficiently for impact and follow through? Sounds like you could still be keeping your body relatively closed. |

| Re: Clubhead passing the hands You`re probably right, Greg (Willis, not Norman) has mailed me to ask what my body position is at impact and I suspect it`s nowhere near rotated enough. As for the "secret", it`ll take more than that to stop 20 years of swatting - it`s just not that difficult to bend your wrist with it on, perhaps I should replace the elastic with something a bit less flexible and then I`d have to break my index finger to swat with it. |

| Re: Clubhead passing the hands Maybe you could combine Greg's RHD with the "pump it" drill. http://www.network54.com/Forum/72052...secret+to+golf (video halfway down the page) This combination helped me ingrain the late release of the wrists. Your wrist should still be cocked when they get in line with the thigh of your back leg. Also make sure that you are thinking about both wrists. The back of your left wrist should be flat-ish throughout the downswing and impact. |

| Re: Clubhead passing the hands That`s great! I haven`t had a chance to hit a ball yet, but just going through the pump drill I notice that everything is in the right place without me having to do anything else consciously - right wrist cupped at impact, hips fully rotated . . . . I`ll be down the range tomorrow and let you know how it goes. |

And yes, it works. |

On the other hand, when the wind blows, it is literally 20 shots on my score. |

| Re: Clubhead passing the hands Hi guys I attach a snapshot of my downswing (sorry it's poor quality - took it with my mobile phone on the video played on my laptop , but it does manage to show the club shaft).Does this show that I am not doing the "pump" enough, as my club is not bisecting my right forearm. Does this imply that I need to bring my hands lower first on the downswing? Or could it be bad representation without a high speed video camera to take the correct instant of the swing? Thanks! |
