Pre swing Thoughts Any suggestions on Pre swing thoughts, and focus points? I usually focus on the back of the ball, and think, 'straight arm back, head still, straight line through the ball. Is this too much to think about or is there something else should be doing? Any help appreciated.

Re: Pre swing Thoughts 3 might be 2 to many...but it all depends on your maintanance level. If you are in deep with swing change/transition, then you might have to go to 3 items, but get it down to 1.

Re: Pre swing Thoughts When playing a round IMHO its best not to have any technical thoughts. Technical thoughts will result in muscles tightening which is something to avoid. I prefer to have just one swing thought be it focus on a spot on the ball, or the target, or counting to maintain good tempo and then trust your techique. If your technique needs improving work on that at the range as it wont get sorted on the course anyway.

Re: Pre swing Thoughts I think light grip, complete turn, and count 1-2-3 to see the shot in a rythmic way I make this part of a pre-shot routine that I am really working on nailing down. Takes somewhere betwen 9-10 seconds between approaching the ball and then hitting it and I have found this almost as important as the swing itself
