| I am experiencing problems with hitting the long irons. I used to be able to hit any club from the Tee but recently within the last 2 years I have lost the abillity to hit the long irons, specifically from the Tee. My home course has 3 holes that I need to be able to hit an accurate drive (4 or 3 iron) to be perfectly positioned in the fairway and 1 long par 3(200) yards. This usually costs me about 7 or 8 strokes since I have absolutely no confidence in this shot. What am I doing wrong? Is it the distance I stand from the ball? How do I determine the proper setup to the ball for long iron shots? I can see that I am toeing most of them. Last edited by whrichmond; 05-23-2003 at 08:36 AM. |
