| Re: Golf swing analysis drawings I'm not sure what you're looking for. I'll assume you have the appropriate software. Common lines include: Shaft plane Spine angle Spine tilt Shoulder plane 'Tush line' (hip plane) Lines outside the shoulders (to detect sway) Good luck in your search. |

| Re: Golf swing analysis drawings I'm usong "cswing'. I looked at: V1, JC Video and Golf coach....... I downloaded and tried JC, V1 and cswing. Cswing had the drawing tools I liked including angles like 56 degrees, had plenty of pro golfers to view, captured video from my camcorder to my laptop ok and I think, had the biggest viewable screen not including their toolbars and such. It's great. I now have an idea what to work on with my swing rather than just going to the range and hitting thousands of balls. Glad to answer any questions. |

| Re: Golf swing analysis drawings You purchased CSwing? |

| Re: Golf swing analysis drawings I'm just curious as to whether you actually spent the money to get the license, or whether or not you're messing around with the 2 week trial. IF I was going to spend money on software, I'd buy CSwing. However, between a trajectory mat, swing speed radar, and V1Home, I've got about everything I need to analyse my swing. I wasn't trying to be derogatory - just curious if you got excited with it's possibilities and dropped the coin to make it yours! |

| Re: Golf swing analysis drawings A trajectory mat is a high tech piece of ... well... tarp, really. (I bought mine from Wishon). It's a heavyweight vinyl (or something similar) with a wonderful grid on it. You hang it, set up a tee so far away, and hit a ball into it. Then you run the pythagorean theorem to figure out your launch angle. I find it much easier to use a little bit of software. I believe the defacto standard for trajectory mats is 10' away, starting 2' from the ground. At any rate, it's a fine piece for launch angle. However, I think that becomes automatic with a couple of lines in CSwing, doesn't it? ![]() I really liked CSwing, it was just outside my budget (and justification ability) at the time. I guess having spent some pretty coin on a loft and lie machine, CSwing would be a drop in the bucket at this point ![]()

I know exactly what your are referring to. I came across a website that taught you the proper camera angles, and what you should look for in a golf swing - and the drawings were animated. I probably bookmarked the site on my home computer and I will have a look for you and see if I can find it, and post it here - it definetly exists on the Net. I am curious about your progess - the idea of video taping and analysising your swing sounds very promising - as opposeed to hitting thousands of golf balls - especially! |

| Re: Golf swing analysis drawings Jamesh, I have learned a lot about the golf swing and mine in particular. I now, for the first time when I go to the range, have something to work on except the latest thing I saw on the GolfChannel or read in the latest golf magazine. I must say that I'm not scoring as well as I was but I'm willing to go through this transition to ultimately have a better swing and play better golf. I haven't showed it to anyone that hasn't got some benefit out of it either by watching their swing or the thirty or so pros I have that can be shown, frame by frame from "face on" and "don the line". Hope that fills in some of your questions. |
