The setup and ball position for the driver are different to the 3 wood which IMHO you hit much as you would a long iron. The Driver is hit on an upswing bringing all sorts of new factors into play (launch angle etc)

Hmm I don't think I'm trying to hit the driver any different than with my 4 wood. Essentially I'm using the same swing and the same ball position except that I tee the driver much higher as expected. I'm also not sure if I am supposed to be hitting down on the 4 wood and sweeping with the driver? I was of the impression that for the woods it was all supposed to be sweeping (especially if you are already teeing it in front)?
