| My swing...again Been a little while since I uploaded a video. Rarely I take it when I practice with a long iron (4i) but here it is. I have been working on trying to get my left elbow to point more towards the target at setup. This seems to help me get more consistent impact but no real help in the direction department. The flaws that I think I have in my swing are: 1) Bring the club inside a little quick 2) The clubface points skyward at the top (been trying to get rid of this for ages but cant seem to. I think my grip is neutral and my wrist is flat up the top so I am not sure why....) 3) I dont really have lag (although I have no problem in getting distance. 4i is averaging about 210y on the fly but there could be more perhaps). 4) My lower body is too active on the down swing. I know a lot of people tell me to stop tinkering with my swing but I just cant help it..... So anyway, advices please, especially from all pros here on GTO. I am still dreaming of turning pro but I just feel like my swing now cant get me to that level. As for Ian, I am wearing golf shoes this time ![]() Probably need to wait until it gets approved. http://www.golf-tuition-online.com/v...to/642/cat/529 Last edited by pinyo8; 04-09-2006 at 11:02 PM. |

| Re: My swing...again I do have to agree with you Mike especially if I keep on messing with my swing...... I guess I will have to learn more about the golf swing so at least I can teach my son to pursue my dream instead..... But for now, I wont give up just yet in my quest to find the perfect swing. The good thing is, everytime I try to fix something, there are certain things that I can see improving. For example this time, my impact seems much better. I am currently working on a slightly different takeaway and it feels like the right motion and it is what I see the pros do. I really dont have the confidence in the Japanese pros that I have seen teaching at the local driving range amd that's the main difficulty for me right now is having no one to reall analyze my actual swing. I will put up another video again once I get used to the new movement. Hopefully then I can get some comments here to see if my swing is actually improving. |
