| major hook problem... Right now, my driver is causing caos... it only happens with my driver and sometimes maybe my 3iron. Prolly because both are played in the front of my stance. Whenever I set up to drive the ball, It hooks way to left. Its more like a snap hook. Even when i get the ball straight.... it will go straight to the right and curve majorly to the left. I dont know if this is happening because I might be breaking my wrists or whatever.. I just cant figure it out.. I've tried correcting my swing by coming more inside.. but that just pushes it to the right and it still comes back to the left. Can anyone help? Thanks Last edited by GreenInTwo; 04-12-2006 at 03:16 AM. |

| Re: major hook problem... In addition to above, check your alignment. In general most golfers have a tendency to aim too right. Remeber railroad tracks, inside track is body alignment and outside track is clubhead alignment. If your too right, wrists try to turn the ball over to get in the right direction. Also grip - ensure proper grip and if hooking, not too strong a grip. Also stance - do not reach for the ball - tilt from the hips, arms should hang stright down - this will give you a more upright plane. Again, these are general suggestions without seeing your swing. |
