Re: Hitting ground behind the ball

Hi Bluetoff,

One of the main reasons for hitting behind the ball is the early release of the wrists, hence casting the club into the ground.

All you need to do is give yourself time to get back to the ball after you reach the top of your back swing (easier said than done) however if you just give yourself a fraction of a second longer by relaxing all your body and just taking your time, it should come good.

Hope this helps

Ian.

LOL, I do it ocasionally when I take my eye off the ball and look at the takeaway and thus catch it fat.

Ian I could kiss you but I won't! That make perfect sense to what I do every once and awhile then it will happen more often, until I relax. I'm new you understand.

Re: Hitting ground behind the ball

some times you will hit the ground when you set up to close to the ball. You should be 2 hands away not 1 like irons. the club is longer and you are sweeping the ball. arms are more out and you want to kill that ball
KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL
