| Re: help plz!! Try Hitting The Ball With Feet Together And A 3/4 Swing. I Had The Same Problem And My Instructor Had Me Doing This Drill And It Helped. He Then Had Me Hit With A Split Stance, Back Toe To Heal Of Forward Foot, Feet About 6" Apart. Don't Know Why This Helped, But It Did ![]() |

| Re: help plz!! the reason this drill works is 1) prevents you from overswinging 2) keep you stable over the ball 3) Stops over active leg movement Re: hitting up on the ball dropping the right shoulder. I'm going to take a guess you have a reverse pivot. i.e. your weight is ending up on the left foot at the top of your backswing and to get through the ball you are dropping your right shoudler. Check the following 1) Grip - if too weak can promote a more upright swing 2) Alignment - if aimed too right can promote casting - ie pulling the club to get the shot online 3) Stance - If too upright can pull the club inside and weight will go to the left foot. you may need more tilt at address. The above are generic recommendations without seeing your swing, however, reverse pivoting is a very common fault. |
