golf swing I am a left handed golfer. When I swing and hit my ball it always veers to the right and only goes about 50 yards. I try very hard to stand in the correct posture when swinging, and dont know where I am going wrong. Any suggestions on ways in which I can go about improving this as it is beggining to get very annoying.

Re: golf swing definitely get lessons. That way there ill be no habbits to unlearn. If you are serious about taking up this frustrating sport, see a golf instructor. Tiger and Phil (and every other pro on tour) all have instructors, so why would any of us think we are so good that we wouldn't need one???

Re: golf swing thanks for the advice! the problem i have with lessons is the money at the moment- being a student! however i have just found out that my local golf course runs a group course of 6 lessons for £25 however the downside being there is 10 in a group. I will definately be signing up for some and so should hopefully be improving soon! Had an ok round today and was 10 swings shorter than last time which i am pleased about so hopefully things are looking up! ![]()

Re: golf swing If I was qualified, I would say things like 1) Leave the woods in the bag, use a 7i to work on your swing. 2) If you are getting 40yds, go with half swings first. 3) Chances are you are not getting good impact (sweet spot). Half swings going as far or even further than your current 40yds would confirm that.
