Smile My swing May 2006

Driver - standing more upright
6 Iron standing more upright
Pitching Wedge - tilting over more
6 iron - tilting over more
Driver - Tilting over more

Basically my season starts in two weeks (back from uni) so got a short period to work on stuff. The top two videos are me before the pro told me i should tilt more from the hips, closer to 45degrees.

Does it look like i'm Too upright in the 1st 2 vids? He said tilting over more will lead to the plane of the swing being more upright which is what i wanted. The next three video's are of me when i tilted over more and gripped down by an inch on the grip. The plane looks more upright and i was swinging well with it. Does it look fine or do i need to have more/less tilt?

I'm off 4 at the mo so some short game practice is needed cos thats the bit i need to work on to get to scratch. My bad shot is when I start with the shoulders and have them slightly open at impact so it leads to a straight pull by about 10 yards to 20 yards. Any drills to stop that and make sure I get to impact with shoulders square/slightly closed?

Any other Comments (good & bad) on my swing at the mo???

Cheers Rich

Re: My swing May 2006

practice swing and real thing are different
need to get some real swings in there
one thing I notice is that you brush the ground a couple of inches inside of where you set up on the six iron swing

Re: My swing May 2006

So there's no comments u can make on the swing?.. my practice swing is identical to my actual swing (ive filmed my actual swing but cant put it on comp). As with being 2 inches off at impact, im not. The frame just doesnt show where my club was at impact, i was aiming at the tee i had in the ground and clipped it.

Any help on the swing itself and info on my comments above wud help me a lot. Cheers Rich

Re: My swing May 2006

Richie,
the hard part is I cannot go frame by frame and stop the swing at various points. It looks like you come a couple inches inside of where you were set up but maybe I am wrong about that. Your right heel is off the ground at impact instead of rolling to the inside of your right foot, I dont like the heel off the ground but others may not have a problem with it so that is one of the things that does not always have a right and wrong. I do see a lot of good in the swing, great top of the back swing position, fluid, good extension through the ball, well the imaginary one.

actually richie,
I just paused you driver swing and happened to catch it right at impact, I am right and your club head comes in 1.5-2 inches from where you set up
