One thing I haven't figured out yet is why I still pull the ball on occassion when hitting off the grass. I would have landed on the green several times with my shots yesterday had I not pulled it.The other shots, well they were just a beautul thing to behold . And again I cannot overstate how well the cupped wrist continues to work on my pitching and chipping. It just adds so much control to the process.

(p.s. I also widened my stance just a little and began trying to concentrate on swinging around the body/spine. Oh, and also started checking my grip. I think this may be more of a culprit at times than I imagined. Hmmm, maybe I forgot to do that on those pulls,, don't know. I noticed I do have a tendency to get into my palm more on the left hand if I don't check it. Tried to ensure I was keeping it in the fingers).
sounds good teevino, great to hear you making progress. The left hand grip is NOT in the fingers, if it gets there that could be the reason you shut tthe face down. If I open my hand the grip runs from the middle bend in my pointer finger, to under my heal pad of hte hand

Well darn (family site), I could have sworn somebody said it was in the fingers. I played all day today gripping in the fingers. Maybe that is why I wore and burst a blister on the outside 3rd finger of my right hand . I only shot 3 higher than yesterday though and hit more consistently straight shots. Did feel kinda awkward having my hand that far over the grip, but I managed. I actually think I would have shot 6 under yesterdays score if my back hadn't started hurting on every swing on the back 9.

Because of the blister I started using a "natural grip". Instead of wrapping/overlapping the fingers on the backside, I just tucked the thumb and did an over and under baseball bat type grip. I really liked it. My playing partner tried it and liked it even more than me. He was having a terrible day up until he started using that grip. I got the idea from my brother about a month ago. "Is this a legal grip??"
