Maintaining spine tilt

It seems that I start hitting balls off the toe, particularly with my irons (not so much with my woods and i-Woods), because I am raising my spine angle and, consequently, bringing the club on an inside track when compared to the backswing.

Any suggestions on how to overcome this malady? When I maintain the spine angle, I hit about 140-150 with my 7i. When I start the off the toe stuff, I would be better off swinging my putter. I really need some sound advice.

Thanks.

Bill

Re: Maintaining spine tilt

That may be the key. I think I get too much on the ball of my feet and perhaps rock back on the downswing. Is that what you're implying?

I need a rod through my back secured to the ground (at the proper angle, of course!).

Re: Maintaining spine tilt

I just recognized that in the title of this thread I used the term "spine tilt" instead of "spine angle."

Spine tilt, in my understanding of the term, is the angle of the spine away from the target.

Spine angle is the relationship of the spine to the ball.

Sorry for the confusion (but confusion is what it's all about with my game).

very good, either A. have it centered, or B. favor the heels,
dont favor the balls
