Angry Recovery of swing

Does any body experience the total loss of swing rhythm timing etc, without any real explanation. This has just happened to me and is driving me mad as well as bringing down my confidence. I know that tension is a major factor here, but when you are swinging well it is hard to understand the sudden loss. As i try to "fix" this issue, frustration introduces other problems such as shanking, topping, and in general swinging like a total beginner. Anyt advice welcome.

Regards,
Robert

Re: Recovery of swing

hi Robert

A friend once told me that if i ever had problems with a "sudden swing meltdown" as he called it, you have to go right back to basics.
checklist:
a) grip
B) posture
c) alignment
d) set up. and takeaway.

since every swing fault can be traced to the tiniest change in one or more of the above, check them and correct any changes, and you'll have your swing back in no time........

good luck friend.....Terry

one of the best post I have seen on here, EVER
most all golfers do not realize how important set up is, I have never seen a golfer with a good set up have a bad swing

Re: Recovery of swing

1) try swinging with a weighted club. should slow your tempo down and tune you into the weight of the club head
2) Take a ball, about the size of a soccer ball. Hold it between your hands and turn back and through with the tempo of a golf swing.

Re: Recovery of swing

Thanx shootin.

When Lee westwood had a swing meltdown in 2003 He said " i couldn't hit a cows ass with a banjo " . He went right back to basics. Now , he is back on track and competing for titles again.

Every single PRO will practice their basics. Every practice session.

regards to all my friends here.....Terry

Re: Recovery of swing

Keep left arm straight on downswing-no chicken wing; stay committed to shot-no pulling up at impact; follow through.
