one of the many

drills you can use to learn to swing from the inside

take a ball and tee it up, now take another ball and place it 10 inches behind the teed ball and 3 inches outside your target line, now place one ten inches in front and 3 inches inside your target line
hit the ball in the middle while imagining creating an X between your swing path and the line of the 3 balls. and if you hit any of the other three balls you are coming over the top, this drill gives instant feedback

So if you don't hit any of the 3 balls, you wiffed...instant feedback.

I think he meant to say if you hit either of the two balls besides the middle one.

Re: one of the many

or use a head cover, an old shaft stuck in the ground, or make an "inside approach" out of coat hangars and a piece of foam.
Once you get the concept, you will not forget it and your swing and shot shape will change for the better. Except one thing---remember to release, if you don't allow the hands, wrists to release-you will push it or worse.
G1 and I have explained the right hand knuckles facing the ground; assuming fairly light grip pressure along with holding the club more in mid fingers rather than palm, you will start hooking. When that happens, weaken the left hand a tad or weaken the right hand a tad and presto-chango-now you have a nice draw.
I also believe the hands can do whatever you want them to do and they even dictate swing path and casting or not.
G1 jump in here please
