Please check my swing

I have been trying to upload my swing all morning, hope its working right. I changed the format to mpeg and then trimmed the files as short as possible. Anyway I had my handicap to about 4 when the bottom fell out. Now I'm about a 14 and have no clue. I have tried to get that old feeling back but now when I stand over the ball I am at a loss. I have tweaked everyhting from grip, ball position, inside swing , fast hips ect ect but all I do is have a sensation I am going to shank it, and I do ocassionally, especially lately. I feel I might be coming OTT, but there are probably alot more flaws in my swing than I can see. Take a look and see what you guys think. Thanks and all the best, John

Re: Please check my swing

You aren't the only one having issues downloading videos. I can't figure out why mine won't. Although, with my swing, that might be better

Re: Please check my swing

loosing spine angle and that is why your right knee straightens. Because of that you get no coil, so there is nothing to unwind and your impact looks too much like address. Meaning your hips are to square, instead of open

Hi,

What do you mean by hips being to square, instead of open?

Re: Please check my swing

try concentrating on just keeping ur right knee bent the whole time at the same angle...thats what i did for about 25 swings to fix my problem i used to have...also if you are slicing the balls it might be b/c at the top of your backswing you are aiming far right of the target...use a mirror while practice swinging to watch what you are doing and fix this...

Responding only I detect the same issues I have had. A couple of things, right hand grip should be cupped more, combined with a slight OTT,,,try sticking the butt out and keeping a straight spine. You are slightly picking the club up, butt out and straight spine will help that. A slight over swing was observed. And lastly and most important,,,you having been a previous 4,,, your tempo in my opinion is a tad quick, a slower takeaway will allow you to feel your postions. Just trying to help, sometimes it takes only one thing. Good luck.
