Well I think I finally have my swing uploaded on this site. Please take a look and give me your best advice. Anything less than take two weeks off, then quit will help me out, Thanks John

weight looks too much on balls of feet, looks like you loose spine angle right at the top of the backswing, you will notice that is when your head comes up a little and your right leg straightens. Focus on keeping the right kneee bent and coil into your right side

Hi John,

Looks like a decent repeatable swing, I would hazard a guess that you have played a long time and it works for you, there is a relaxed smooth downswing which is in all the right places.................any inconsistances come from this.........

Only one real thing I would recomend working on is the top position, look at your right elbow at the top, you lift it far to high and this is cupping the left wrist and sending the club across the line................depending on you there are a couple of ways to cure this, a little shorter swing will stop it as you just let go at the top and go a little to far, or you can try keeping a head cover under your left armpit until just after impact which I think may work best.

By keeping the headcover under the left armpit you will have to stay connected and keep the right elbow down or the headcover will drop out of the left armpit at the top.

Hope this helps

Ian.

It looks like you may be casting from the top. Not sure if that is becasue of a bad top of swing position or not. Try not taking such a full backswing, maybe 3/4 backswing and make sure you it down and through the ball. You can probably work on your follow through to correct everything.

Re: Here my video, please critique

im not a pro or neither have i been playing long but i know a lil from what the pros have told me around here and it appears you are straightening your right leg in the backswing and lifting your right hip which can cause you to hit thin..your also pointing way right of the target at your full backswing instead of straight down the target line. i know for me this causes a draw...id try the 3/4 swing as has been suggested to you, thats what the pros always told me to do when i used to be in ur same situation

Re: Here my video, please critique

Thanks guys! I went out today with the sole purpose of working on only two things, keeping my right leg flexed and slowing my takaway and tempo down alittle. As soon as I started I felt like a different person with a different swing. My shots immediately were consistently struck. In fact, I hit a 3 wood off the 6th tee that was probably my best hit ball in the last 6 months. All in all I felt alot of my old swing come back around. I shot a 79 today and I believe I could have gone lower. I will keep working on these pointers. Thanks to all for your input, I'm excited that I might be getting the old feeling back!!
