Questions...

Beyond going out to golf once/twice a year before, I'd say I've been playing for about 9 months or so. I like to say I "went golfing" before, but now I "play golf". Anyway, I have some general newbie questions so I can understand the posts here better...

RE: swing path...what is outside and what is inside?

RE: What is the inside part of the ball? Its better to hit here right?

RE: uncoil...I have a habit of casting. Instead of using their arms, I've noticed that good players on the downswing tend to drop their right arm into their hip, then along with their hips/weight shift the club falls into impact and squares using a forearm rotation. My question is, is it indeed true that there is some mechanic to tucking the right arm into the hip and then turning the arms into the ball with the hips? Sorry if this is badly worded, but doing this is the first time a swing feels like it might be correct and without a cast. I seem to actually be able to maintain the club near my shoulder/head for much longer this way and I imagine once I get the timing down, I can utilize more speed and not power leak from a cast. If this is incorrect or not advisable however, I will stop ASAP.

RE: what is spine angle and how/why do you maintain it?

Thanks for any help here.

That is a great video. He is describing exactly what I have been working on for some time now. And when I do it right (which is more often than not lately) the result is fantastic. Greg really does a great job of explaining the mechanics of a good swing here. At least from the standpoint of what the right arm and wrists should be doing and their position at impact.
