Late hit drill - made famous by Mickey Wright

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmeKUHlUg6w

See the video above. I think this is the body swing they are talking about

I didn't know who Mickey Wright was until today when my Pro told me she is the greatest ever women player. Anyhow to learn how to hit it late like the men her coach created this drill.

I must say i was hitting my five iron ten yards past where I normally hit them even using this drill. It was hard to beleive.

Sounds interesting, but I can't get the video to display and I have the latest Macromedia update and Java scripts are enabled.

Tony,

Great drill.......this is also a great drill for Greg's right hand drill.

I hope lots of guys see this thread as many questions are asked about Gregs drill and possible practice routines.

Good Job

Ian.

This drill is also the same as Leadbetter's pump drill.

Did he get it from Mickey Wright also?

I also use that one myself, my pro taught me it, I find that if I swing down from the top only (without the previous backswing) it helps to curb my tendency to come over the top.

A great drill as Ian says..

That looks just like the Hogan one from years ago

http://www.megspace.com/sports/moeto...demo_clip.html

Whats great about these videos is you can see how its all turn thats pulling the club down and through impact. Theres no active release or swat/flip with the arms/hands that I used to do
