| Different drill Whilst looking at through the web, I found this intersting article on wedge play by David Toms http://www.golfinternationalmag.co.uk/toms.htm I found the drill quite useful that he gives us on the third page of the instruction, where you stand facing the target hitting wedge shots to develop a body release. I have not tried it hitting balls, only with practice swings in the garden and it gave a good feeling. When I applied it to my full swings it seemed as though the club was attacking the ball more from the inside. Could the drill be of use also with the long game? I don't think you could hit full drives with it, but the feelings you get swinging a wedge could they be transferred to the full swing? I'll try on the range this weekend hopefully to see if it helps. |
