| Help! This is only my second year playing and I've worked hard to simplify my swing and also I've worked a lot on my short game and it's paid off. I've recently had two rounds in the mid/upper 80's which for me is great. I played two days ago and everything just fell apart. I was slicing, topping, hitting fat and I popped up 2 drives..something I don't think I've done in 2 years. It was a new course and it was very hot and I could feel myself getting more and more frustrated as the round went on. I'm not trying to make excuses, just wondered what any of you do when things turn ugly like that? I tried slowing down and being a bit more deliberate...hit a lot of 3/4 swings and punch shots towards the end and it went a bit better but I'm playing this wknd and twice next week and don't want a repeat of what happened last Monday. Any other suggestions to help me relax and get back in the groove? Thanks very much - Andy F. |
